A new month is finally here. I hope everyone is as excited as I am. If someone can win 27 in a row this month it means you will have a shot at $300,000. I really hope my picks do better this month so

920 Dustin Johnson and Adam Scott- I will start off by saying Tiger Woods is my pick for who will win this tournament. But even with that being said Johnson and Scott are just too good to pass up here. There are some pretty long holes on the back 9 which will really help Johnson and Woods. Even though Matsuyama is a very good golfer that not too many people know about. I cant pick against the better 2 some here with a tie option. Assuming nothing else is added as an early morning play this should lead everyone off with some green to start August.  Confidence:3

1205 Cleveland Indians- Based off of recent performance I don't know how you could pick against the Indians here. Indians have won 7 in a row while the White Sox have lost 6 in a row. White Sox seem like they have packed in for the season despite having veterans on the team. Sale in my opinion is 1 of the top 3 pitchers in the game. But it is really hard to pick him to win knowing his team might be lucky to score 2 runs. Masterson has been solid all year. The Indians hit lefties pitchers very well which why they usually do good against Sale. I got see Sale pitching a gem here but the Indians have had some clutch wins and I see them getting another 1 here at home. Confidence:4

1215 AC Milan- I don't think a long writeup is necessary. Clearly the better team but have to wonder how much motivation they have for a 3rd place game. Confidence:2

1240 New York Mets- I understand what most people think we then see this pick. Harvey against the Marlins looks like an easy green. I don't see it that way and the numbers agree. Harvey has given up at least 3 runs in 3 of his past 5 road starts. You add on top of that Miami has won all 3 games that Harvey has pitched. Marlins lead the season series 9-5. I understand the reasoning for people picking this but what I am trying to say is stay away. I got this as 50-50. The only reason I don't have this as a trap pick and the Marlins winning is because Koehler is pitching. I think if any of the other Marlins starters were going here I would love the pick. Confidence:1

110 Kansas City Royals- Confidence:2

140 Justin Rose- Confidence:1

230 Bayern Munich- I hate sounding like a broken record but Munich is the beat team in world. Its hard not to pick them every time they play. I was impressed with Man City yesterday but I still got Munich here. Confidence:2

245 Swansea City - They are pretty big favorites here. I think it could come down to whether or not Swansea can score twice. I think Malmo will push to get 1 goal because it is 1st leg of the match. I got Swansea City to find a way to win here. Confidence:2

700 Connecticut Sun- Both of these teams have been battling injuries all year. I think the Fever are the better team. But I got this game at 50-50. So I would give a slight edge to the home team. These 2 teams have faced each other twice this year. They have split those games. Confidence:1

705 St. Louis Cardinals- I really like this pick for a couple of different reasons. For those that don't know the Pirates have won 4 straight in this series and keep finding ways to win. I just cant see the lucky bounce and calls continually going their way. On the other hand the Cardinals have lost 7 straight but played pretty well on Wednesday night. Joe Kelly is a second year pitcher for the Cardinals. I watched a couple of his starts last year and was really impressed with his stuff as a rookie. Thought he handle adversity well and had pretty good command. He was put in the bullpen this year and will be making his 5th start of the year. He has had only 1 bat start in the 4. He has looked good in the other 3. I feel I say this every time Morton is on SFTC but I just don't like him. I don't think he is very good and as a Pirate fan I hope another starter comes back and they keep Cole up in the majors. That probably wont happen but there is hope. Morton has lost 4 straight starts to the Cardinals. Even though Morton does do better at home I think he struggles with the Cards lineup. Even without Molina 1 of the best hitter in the game I still think this is 1 of the best lineups in the NL. I got the Cards winning this game because they will be playing angry and wont want the division lead to get to 3.5. Now I don't know the odds on what a team does when losing 4 straight in a series because 5 game series are really uncommon. But I would have to think it would be very low for a team to do it 5 games in a row especially with a team as talented as the Cardinals. The one thing that is holding me back a little bit on this pick is Kelly usually only pitches 5-6 innings. Which could cause some trouble considering the Cardinals bullpen might be tired. Cardinals should win this game. Confidence:4

705 Texas Rangers- Hard to not pick them here. Don't need a ton of research to know that Darvish at home is a solid pick. I do really like Delgado and think the Diamondbacks have a better lineup. Despite the Rangers winning with some walk offs against the Angels they were in a bad slump. Darvish struggled in an outing earlier this year against the Diamondbacks. Nothing to not like about the Rangers here but I think a lot of runs could be scored which might favor the Diamondbacks. Vegas has this around -200 which I think is really high and feel it should be close to -150. Confidence:3

710 Atlanta Braves- Confidence:2

800 Chelsea- I think Chelsea is the much better team and should win this game. I haven't really seen any sort of information on what lineup each team will play. Which could play a huge part for who to pick here. Inter is a really good team and always plays Chelsea tough. But I got Chelsea here. Confidence:2

805 Los Angeles Dodgers- Rusin looks amazing in his last outing against the Giants. But the Giants really struggle against lefties. Dodgers are arguably 1 of the hottest teams in baseball with 1 of the best lineups. Nolasco is good enough to not give up that many runs to the Cubs here. Confidence:3

905 Any Other Result- Here I begin my writeup that says I am an Xgames expert like every other website that posts their picks. This is one is pretty easy if you ask me. I researched this pick for roughly 8.5 hours and decided to flip my lucky coin. Tails never fails. But in all seriousness just a simple odds play. Confidence:0

1000 Phoenix Mercury- A lot of this pick could depend on whether Britney Griner plays or not. I don't think she plays here and I would still pick them to win. Just because Diana Taurasi is 1 of the best players in the league and gives her team a chance to win every night regardless of who they are playing against. If Griner plays I will like them more. But I cant pick against the Mercury here. Confidence:2

1005 Los Angeles Angels- Johnson has been awful is a last couple starts. They were even rumors the Blue Jays thought about dropping them. I would probably try and stay away from this game. But given how bad Johnson has been its hard not to like the Angels here. Confidence:1

1030 Real Madrid by 2- Ronaldo usually puts on a show when he plays the Galaxy. From everything I have heard and saw says the Galaxy wont really play a good team. If recent history means anything then Madrid might win by 3 or 4. Confidence:3

800 Any Other Result- I think this is definitely the better pick here. Man City is more than capable of winning this game by 3 or more. But who knows how hard they will try or what lineup they will put out there. I like most people know nothing about Kitchee but am hoping City doesn't blow them out here. Man City is a high favorite to win the match but they have been high favorites in recently friendlies and have lost. Confidence:2

1200 Krasnodar- Russian soccer is really unpredictable and a large majority of people believe it is rigged. Krasnodar pretty high favorites here feel they should get a win. Confidence:2

215 Bochum- Confidence:1

610 Boston Red Sox- This matchup features 2 pitchers that faced each other a couple of days ago. Rays are hot and Price looks like he has come back to form. Dubront won the previous 5 meetings against the Rays before losing on Wednesday. I think the Red Sox win here. Confidence:3

705 Pittsburgh Pirates- This should be a great series. But I just think everything points to the Pirates winning this game. Cardinals are cold lately. The Pirates love Westbrook. Liriano has been solid all year. Only thing holding me back is the Pirates didn't play well against Miami. Think the injury to Martin is a pretty big deal. Confidence:3

I finished my baseball picks earlier than I usually do. So I might change the confidence levels on some of them but for the most part will be around the same.


930 Bate Borisov - Everything points to them winning this game. They lost the first leg of this match 1-0. They are pretty big favorites here. I don't feel great about this pick because Shakhtar is very good and I could easily see a 1-1 draw. But I got Bate 1-0. Confidence:1

100 Sligo Rovers-  Sligo lost the first leg of this match 1-0. I think Molde is very good but Sligo is tough. Sligo has not been playing well recently. But I think this pick will be will Sligo score. I think they score because they want to stay alive in this tournament. I got Molde 2-1. Confidence:2

300 St. Patricks- If I understand this correctly Shamrock might not take this game serious because they are in different tournaments. On top of that they will be coming off only 3 days rest and St. Patricks have 9 days. These 2 teams play against each other a lot. Shamrock is the favorite to advance but I just have a feeling St. Patricks plays well tomorrow. Confidence:2

315 Ekranas- I got this going to be a draw. I think Hafnarfjordur is a very good team but they played a match 2 days ago. I'm not sure of what kind of lineup they put out their for that game but I wonder about their fatigue. I got a 1-1 draw because Hafnarfjordur would still advance with that happening since they won the first leg 1-0. Confidence:2

702 Indiana Fever by DD- Confidence:1

705 Washington Nationals- I cant pick against them here with how bad the Nationals have been playing. I think Cole is good but he has struggled at times with his command. Jordan is a decent pitcher. I just think right now the Pirates bats are too hot. Confidence:2

706 Hit- Neither 1 of these pitchers are huge strikeout pitchers. I could easily see Marte lead off the game with a hit. If it gets to it I would think McCutchen would. As much as the Pirates strike out I just don't see it happening against Jordan. Confidence:3

707 Toronto Blue Jays- Not a big fan of either pitcher. I don't think Capuano is very good. But its hard to pick against the Dodgers with the way they have been swinging the bats. Confidence:2

805 Texas Rangers- I think they are the better pick but I don't agree with the money line being around -170. Hughes is really inconsistent so you never know what to expect. Ogando has done well this year but will be making his first starting after coming off the DL. Ogando has struggled against the Yankees in his 2 career starts. I still think the Rangers win because the Yankees are cold. Confidence:3

810 Detroit Tigers- I cant pick the White Sox to win here even though they might. Some of the Chicago hitters hit Porcello well and he has struggled on the road. But I think the Tigers just a much better team than the White Sox. Right after doing my writeup Cabrera got hurt so pick according. Confidence:1

810 San Diego Padres- Confidence:1

840 Miami Marlins- Fernandez is a stud. Despite having 6 wins at home Chacin has an ERA of  4. I think the Marlins get enough runs for Fernandez to get a win. Confidence:2

I don't like any of the soccer picks tomorrow but just feel they are the better pick if you are picking those games.


1200 PFK Samara- I got this pick as a toss up. CSKA Moscow had a draw in their first game of the league but has a really good offense. I think Samara is good enough to keep this game close but watch out because the Russian League is really unpredictable. I say CSKA Moscow wins 2-1. Confidence:1

1200 Norway- Don't let the percentages fool you on this pick. I understand the reasoning for the percentages because people know Spain for being 1 of the best countries for soccer. The only reason this does not count as a trap pick is because Norway is actually favored. Norway is in good form in this tournament and is coming off of 2 wins. Spain on the other hand has 1 draw and 1 loss. I am expecting a low scoring game just hoping Norway gets it done. Confidence:2

245 Denmark- I don't feel good about this pick because Denmark has not looked very good in their last couple games. France is more than capable of winning by 2 but I am just hoping Denmark keeps it close. Confidence:1

707 Los Angeles Dodgers- Dodgers are red hot right now after beating up on the Nationals. Ryu has been good all year but has high road numbers. Johnson has been really inconsistent this year but has done a lot better at home. Melky Cabrera came off the DL on Sunday which should be a huge boost for the Blue Jays. I think a lot depends of who plays for the Dodgers. Puig is expected to play but Kemp might not play. If all of the Dodgers hitters are in the lineup I cant pick against them. Confidence:2

707 Texas Rangers- Rangers bats are really cold of late. Darvish has struggled in his last couple starts but I cant pick against him here at home. Really hoping that the Rangers can get their bats going at home. Nova has been good this year and has done well in his starts against the Rangers. Hoping this isn't 1 of those too good to be true picks. Vegas has this around -190. Confidence:5

707 strikeout swinging- Confidence:1

710 Tampa Bay Rays- Matt Moore has looked like he has got back to the way he was pitching at the beginning of the season. Though he hasn't always pitched well against Boston. I think Workmans numbers are a little misleading and will be interesting to see how he pitches in the first game in Boston. I cant pick against the Rays because of how hot they are but Boston has done well in the season series. Confidence:3

810 Yes HR- HR ball park but there are 2 good pitchers going. Confidence:1

940 Arizona Diamondbacks- Tough pick since Garza has been solid recently. I like Skaggs even though he has struggled in a couple starts this year. Just have a hard time trusting the Cubs lineup on the road. Confidence:4

1010 Cleveland Indians- Not going to even bother doing a full writeup for this game. I don't like Jimenez but he always seems to win on SFTC. Mariners on a 6 game win streak. Confidence:1

1015 San Francisco Giants- Arroyo has high road numbers but usually pitches well against the Giants. Will be interesting to see how Lincecum pitches after his no hitter. Think the Reds bullpen is a little tired from the series against Pittsburgh. Confidence:2

910 Lee Westwood or Tiger Woods- I think this is the better pick because it is the 2 most likely to win tomorrow. My prediction is this is Lee Westwood's tournament. Westwood will have a 2 shot lead over the field. The thing I was impressed with the most was Lee's confidence. How he never got rattled at times when you thought he might. He really looked like he had a good feel for the greens. But you also have to wonder how Lee will handle the pressure on Sunday. For those that don't know Westwood is one of best golfers in the world, but has never won a major championship before. I don't think Woods gets it done tomorrow, but he's a nice guy to have because everyone knows he will contend. Westwood has a lot of historic chokes on the final day. But I think that will only help him here. Being through it so many times it will help him prevail. I think the course will be tough for people to make up ground. So I really only see 9 golfers with a chance tomorrow. If Westwood does not win I like Zach Johnson and Angel Cabrera. Zach will contend tomorrow just because he has 1 of the best short games. Angel will be there tomorrow because he has made the fewest bogeys this week. Westwood has just been too hungry to win a major. I got Westwood shooting a -1 tomorrow and winning the tournament at -4. Decent pick. Confidence:3

1215 Mark Cavendish- I'm not going to go into detail here. He is the clear favorite and this should be his race. Confidence:3

807 Boston Red Sox- There are stats to point for either team to win this game. Dempster has an awful history against New York. But CC is hit or miss against Boston. I got CC pitching well tonight but Boston's bats at home will just be too tough here. Boston 6-4. Confidence:2

818 CC strikeouts - CC has a really good strikeout history against most of the hitters in the lineup. I got CC getting 3 or 4 strikeouts. So I am just hoping the Red Sox offense doesn't get going early on. Confidence:1

Liriano pitched well in both of those games it was just the offense didn't get him enough support. I think with Leake on the mound they will. Leake has pitched well against the Pirates in 2 of his 3 starts. But I think he can get a little rattled some times and I could easily see that happening in this game. Confidence:3

I would expect Phil to shoot somewhere around par. Rory on the other hand I have no idea what to expect. I like him as a player but hes been switching up his swing and his clubs. I don't think that's a good situation especially on this course. Confidence:3

630 Froome or Quintana- I'm really not going to go into a whole lot of detail here. The best 2 climbers in a climbing stage. Only reason I'm not more confident is weather could play a factor. Froome has looked amazing to this point in the TDF and its hard to pick against him. Confidence:4

1215 9 or 10- I think these are the 2 most likely numbers to happen on this hole. I would expect 3 pars. I could see 1 of them birding or 2 bogeys on this hole but I think its unlikely. Confidence:2

116 No- I am leaning this way as of right now. All 3 of these guys are capable of doing it but it depends on how there playing to this point. Some of the players might struggle with the putting so we could see pars here. The more I research I am thinking no. I think it will mainly come down to Donald tomorrow who plays par 3s well. Confidence:3

220 Par- I think its the most likely option but once again it depends on this hole is playing today. Generally 18 will play easier on the first day. Confidence:2

You have 2 good teams where I think it will be unlikely that the Mercury would lose this game by DD. These 2 teams played recently and the Sparks won by DD on the road but Griner did not play. I think teams that play on back to back nights show a little bit of fatigue. Now I think a lot of this pick could depend on whether Britney Griner plays. I think if she plays this game I would feel pretty good about it. If she doesn't play then I got this pick as 50/50. 415 Chris Froome by 7 seconds- For those that don't know Stage 17 is a time trial. This time trial sets up perfectly for the kind of racer Froome is. Vegas has him to win this race some where between -250 to -400 just to put in perspective the way the race should go. Take notice of the 'should'. But given the conditions tomorrow expected in Embrun and Chorges this could go either way. There has been and expected to be rain tomorrow. Giving the unpredictability I'm not going to research what the weather is expected to be when Froome starts his trial or before then. But all I will say is its a shame that the rain is happening because if there wasn't any rain then I would have this around a 5 or maybe a 6. So all the rain does is moves my confidence down but I cant pick against Froome here. Confidence:3

1200 Germany 2+ - Everything I have looked at shows that Germany is really good. Norway is not so good. Germany is a big favorite here. I got Germany 3-0. Confidence:2

1200 Zenit St. Petersburg - I think Zenit is a better team  but Krasnodar has been playing well lately.  They have won 3 and 1 draw in their last 4 games. Everything I have seen shows that Zenit is a better team and should win this game. But I wonder of what sort of mind set Zenit has after losing 3-0 to Moscow on Saturday. A draw wouldn't totally shock me here. Confidence:2

815 Prince Fielder or Chris Davis- My breakdown of this pick is there are really only 5 guys that have a good shot to win. The other 3 I just don't see doing well at all. I could understand the reasoning for picking Any Other here. But I cant pick against Davis the way he is swinging the ball right now. I feel that he has the most to prove considering all the steroid talks that are circulating around him right now. I think Prince has a decent shot but it is really tough to win this event in back to back years. Confidence:2

For those that don't know or don't remember he won it 2 years ago and got a 0 in first round last year. I think Cano will have a chip on his shoulder and will show he has something to prove. 945 28 or fewer- This is a lot of home runs but I think with the kind of players in this field I would like the over here. The under has won in previous years but I think the over is the pick here. The way I see it is the over will hit as long as 1 player has a monster round of around 10 home runs. Which giving the 4 guys I am predicting to advance I could see at least 1 of them doing that. If some of the lower picked players have monster rounds I might change my pick. But as of right now I have to take the over. Confidence:2

I don't think you could pick against the 2 top favorites in this race. But I feel less confident then yesterday.

Heyward got hurt in Thursdays game which will be interesting to see how they handle that. I would of probably had this as 1 of the best picks of the day if he was playing. Arroyo has 1 of the worst road/home splits in all of MLB. He is 1-5 with a 5.70 ERA. Medlen is a little inconsistent for my liking but he usually pitches well at home ( 3-4 with a 2.83 ERA). One of the big things Arroyo struggles with is left batters. I could see Freeman having a big game here but the loss of Heyward might be a little too much. I still just don't see Reds winning this game. Confidence:4

It is really hard for me to pick against arguably 1 of the greatest sprinters of all time. The breakdown for this race is it will be a sprint at the end that will be between 4 guys. The other 2 are Sagan and Greipel.  Yesterday Cavendish got urine thrown at him. Which should add an extra motivation for him to win this race. You add in there the reason that Cavendish will want to win because of how bad he performed the other day.  With all of that being said I think this race sets up perfectly for Cavendish to win. You get 2 of the 4 contenders to win tomorrow with the most likely one. Confidence:3

830 Zach Johnson- Both of these golfers have similarities. Stricker is slightly more consistent but I like Johnson. Hard to pick against the tie option when not knowing to expect on the first day of a tournament. 2 Par 5s on the back nine and Johnson shoots Par 5s better. Confidence:2

1205 Minnesota Lynx- The Lynx are -5.5 point favorites in this game. I think that is a little high considering the Fever have won 3 in a row. I tend to like home teams in basketball games. But I couldn't pick against Maya Moore after the way they player on Tuesday. Confidence:2

1205 Toronto Blue Jays- I think they are the pick here. Blue Jays aren't a great road team and the Indians play well at home. Dickey is the perfect image for what an inconsistent pitcher looks like. This is just a little note for the monthly pickers. Tony Martin starts his trial tomorrow around 6 AM. So there is a chance that if he loses early that you could sneak in the 11 soccer game. I don't think theres a chance he loses tomorrow though. If you don't like the TDF you could play it safe and pick both soccer games.

I know my TDF picks have not been good this year but he is the clear favorite today. If someone on a decent streak wanted to pass on this pick I wouldn't have a problem with it because a lot could happen in a race. Or Froome could win this 1. But like the odds suggest 1 of those 2 will win tomorrow. I would follow the odds and pick it. Confidence:5

200 Uruguay- Confidence:1

210 Cincinnati Reds- They are the definte pick here its just a matter of how confident you are in them winning. I know the Brewers play well at home and Braun is back in the lineup. But how many games can the Reds go without scoring. I don't see them being swept in this series. They are too good of a team to get swept by the Brewers. Hellweg has not looked good in his 3 starts. Leake is 5-1 with a 2.2 ERA on the road this season. Confidence:5

705 New York Yankees- Nova usually pitches well at Yankee stadium. Think there offense needs to turn it around here. Davis pitched against the Yankees earlier this year and gave up 7 runs. Confidence:3

705 Pittsburgh Pirates- I think Liriano is a lot better than Milone. I think its really tough to beat a team 3 days in a row. Espeically when your on the road. Milone's road numbers are 4-4 with a 4.83 ERA. I know they aren't terrible and the Athletics have basically owned the Pirates in their history. But there is no way I could pick against them here. Confidence:3

706 No run- I just don't see it from either team. Only way I see this could happen would be maybe a solo shot from McCutchen. This might actually have a better chance of happening than the Pirates actually winning. I did a little extra research that has kind of scared me about this pick. Milone has given up 9 first inning home runs this year in 18 starts. I still think this is the safer play though.  Confidence:3

940 Los Angeles Dodgers- I usually don't like to pick a team to sweep a team. Unless your lineup is looking like the Dodgers and absolutely killing it. Confidence:2

1010 Boston Red Sox- I just like Dubront a lot more than Harang even though he has pitched well recently. Boston's lineup is just too tough for me to pick against. Confidence:2

Trap Picks (4-6)


655 Mark Cavendish- This race will be huge for the sprinters. For me this race will basically come down to 2 guys. Those are Cavendish and Greipel. The day off yesterday really benefits the sprinters. But because of what happened in the earlier stages I think Cavendish's team will really want him to win this stage. Confidence:4

1200 St. Etienne- This is just a friendly so its hard to predict. I think the draw is the most likely option here. Confidence:1

245 Limerick- They are pretty big favorites here at home. They are ahead of Bray in the standings. But they have only scored 4 goals in their last 5 games. Confidence:1

700 New York Liberty- They beat Seattle earlier this year in Seattle. They have lost 3 in a row but are tough at home. Vegas has this around -5 and I agree they should win. Confidence:3

705 New York Yankees- Both of these pitchers are studs. CC has had his same stuff this year but he still 1 of the best in the game. A lot of key players for the Yankees got the day off yesterday so I think the rest will help and they bounce back with a win here. Confidence:2

705 Baltimore Orioles- Not a huge fan of each pitcher. They are both young pitchers who never really has seen either team. Britton pitched well against Texas in his only start. Perez has a 5.31 in 4 career road starts. Confidence:2

705 Pittsburgh Pirates-Now my pick may be slightly biased but I don't think it is. Pirates have not been playing that great. It should be said that around this time in last season they began to collapse. So it could be happening again. Straily is not a great road starter which his ERA in 7 road starts is 5.31. Cole on the other hand has been really good this year. But it will be fun to see how he reacts to an AL lineup. The Athletics are tough but the Pirates need to bounce back with a win here. Confidence:3

710 Tampa Bay Rays- Its really hard to not pick the Rays in this game. Archer has been amazing in his starts this year and only gave up 6 runs in  3 home starts when you pitch against Detroit, Boston and Baltimore. For me that says this guy is going to be good. Gibson on the other hand is a rookie making his  3rd start. I really cant trust a rookie with the way the Rays are playing. The only reason I am not going to be really confident in this pick is because this pick seems too easy. That in my opinion this is the kind of games that Twins will find a way to win this and kill the leaderboard. Confidence:3

810 Cincinnati Reds- The Reds aren't a great road team but its hard to think they could lose 2 straight to the Brewers. Ryan Braun will most likely be back in the lineup now which would be a huge benefit for the Brewers. Peralta has been pitching well in his last couple of starts but I don't trust him. Cingrani is 1 of my favorite young pitchers that I think has a lot of talent. His road numbers are slightly higher but nothing to scare me away from this game. Confidence:3

830 Cuba- Confidence:1

905 Minnesota Lynx- Think they should win this game considering how well Maya Moore is playing. They are 6-0 at home. Something to watch is if Augustus plays considering she got hurt in their last game. Vegas has Minnesota around at -4.5. Confidence:3

906 11 or fewer- Even if Augustus plays I would expect Maya Moore or someone else  to score 12 in the first half.  Both of these teams average around 80 point a game. Confidence:1

940 Los Angeles Dodgers- Arizona has lost both games Kennedy started against LA this year. The dodgers bats are red hot right now and its hard to imagine them losing. Nolasco is a solid pitcher so it will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the new team. Kennedy on the other has a lot to prove after hitting Puig and Grienke with a pitch. Confidence:3

1010 San Diego Padres- SD should bounce back with a win at home. Confidence:2

1010 Boston Red Sox- Really could see this game going either way. Iwakuma has been good all year but I think could struggle against Boston. Might change my pick if Ellsbury is not in the lineup. Confidence:1

1015 San Francisco Giants- Hard to not like Zito pitching in SF. Not just this year he has been good there but throughout his career. Gee has been better of late but gave up 7 runs last year in his only career start against the Giants. There game last night went 16 innings so I give an edge to the team with the better bullpen. That is SF. Confidence:2

1015 Lynx first - Confidence:1

1100 USA by 3- From everything that I have heard Belize is just not good. Confidence:2

705 Pittsburgh Pirates- Both starting pitchers are having great years. Neither has really seen any of the hitters on either team. Pirates have done well this year against the AL and at home. Confidence:2

705 Texas Rangers- I would lean towards them in this game just because of how Holland has done on the road this year. He is 4-1 with a 2.95 ERA. Confidence:2

705 New York Yankees- Yankees have been playing really well recently. Royals are not a good road team. I think the Yankees win this game but I don't have a whole lot of confidence in Phelps who has lost 4 straight starts at Yankee stadium. Confidence:3

705 Philadelphia Phillies- Hard to really trust either pitcher. Lannan has been inconsistent, going 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA in four starts since missing two months with a strained quad. Haren on the other hand has gone 0-6 with a 7.01 ERA while giving up 11 home runs in his last 8 starts. Philadelphia's ball park is known for having a lot of HRs. With all of that being said I would trust the team that has more power and has the better lineup. Confidence:2

706 2 or 3- Confidence:1

710 Minnesota Twins- Both of these teams are scrappy. Both teams have average starting pitchers going. Deduno hasn't pitched well on the road this year. Hernandez has not looked all that impressive this year. Hernandez used to be a pitcher for the Indians which means some of the Twins have seem him before. Even though the Twins are 2-8 in their last 10. I think Mauer and Morneau find a way to generate enough offense to win this game. Confidence:1

735 No Bases Loaded- Confidence:2

810 Chicago Cubs- 2 rivals going head to head. Toss up of a game I like Garza a little more than Santiago. Confidence:1

810 Milwaukee Brewers- I think this is definitely a game to stay away from. I know a lot of people will think to pick Bailey coming off of a no hitter. But I cant. I think historically you see guys have a bad game after throwing a no no. Lohse has been consistently good all year. Bailey has been really inconsistent on the road. Confidence:1

930 Honduras- Just think they are a much better team than Haiti. Confidence:3

930 Any Other Result- Confidence:1

940 Arizona Diamondbacks- Another tough game to predict. Grienke has been really inconsistent this year. I have said before that he doesn't look like himself. On the other hand you have Delgado who I think will be a stud in the next couple of years. Greinke has not pitched well against Arizona in his career. But the Dodgers lineup is red hot. Confidence:1

1010 Colorado Rockies- Despite his season numbers Volquez has been pitching well recently. Volquez has really struggled against the Rockies this year though. Chatwood had a bad outing last time and I would expect him to bounce back with a solid game. Confidence:2

1010 Seattle Mariners- Some Boston hitters have success against Hernandez. But hes a stud that always pitches well at home. Lester has struggled in his last couple of starts before pitching well against San Diego. Confidence:1

1015 San Francisco Giants- Harvey is a stud but has some of his worst games on the road. Lincecum has not been that good this year. But is starting to pitch a little bit recently. Giants have been a much better team at home. Confidence:2

910 Novak Djokovic- I have said from the beginning of this tournament that Novak was going to win. I like Murray and there are reasons to pick him here. Murray will have the crowd behind him in this match and he was in the Finals last year. Murray has won the only match these 2 have played on grass. I have 2 concerns with this game and that is how is Novak's knee doing. If that is fine then I think he wins in 4 sets because of how Murray continues to start games off slow. Confidence:3

1100 South Korea- Confidence:1

105 Baltimore Orioles- Too close for me to feel good about either team. Baltimore hits Kuroda well but Hammel has struggled recently. Confidence:1

135 Atlanta Braves- Medlen has been pitching very well of late. I like Pettibone but could see him struggling here. Confidence:2

200 Ghana - Confidence:1

200 Wagner or Walker- Both have been playing really good golf this weekend. I really don't see anyone catching either of them. Think they would have to really choke this tournament away to lose it. Odds to win the tournament are Wagner +140 Walker +250 Blixt +1000 Spieth +1600 and Rest of Field at +2500. Those are really good odds.   Confidence:5

210 New York Mets- Confidence:1

210 Kansas City Royals- Confidence:2

220 Pittsburgh Pirates- I don't think this pick comes biased at all. Burnett is an ace and gives the Pirates a chance to win every time he pitches. I am a little concerned with a guy making his first start off the DL. But Villanueva is a relief pitcher that makes starts when needs be. The Pirates generally do well against him. With Martin having the day off on Saturday I would expect him to be back in the lineup Sunday. I feel pretty good that the Pirates will win this game. Confidence:4

530 Martinique- Confidence:1

807 Los Angeles Angels  - 2 of the hottest teams in MLB which are both 8-2 in their last 10 games. I would have to pick the Angels here. Weaver has looked like he has back to his same form as an ace. Lackey on the other hand has been solid this year. But his road numbers are higher where he is 2-4 with a 4.17 ERA. Confidence:3

808 15 or more - I think this would hit more times than not given the Red Soxs lineup. Confidence:2

835 Angels- I think the Angels win this game so I would have to pick them here. Confidence:1

545 Any Other Cyclist- This stage will be 1 of the tougher ones to predict. That is because we don't know what to expect out of each climber. These are the 2 clear favorites in Froome and Rodriquez. But there are a lot of people behind these 2 that have a shot win. I like Contador or Valverde and think they both have great shots tomorrow. Confidence:2

910 Sabine Lisicki- I think you have to pick her here the way she has played to this point. She has won all 3 of the head to head matches between the 2. This is including 1 played on grass 2 years ago. I do think this match goes 3 sets tomorrow but Lisicki wins because of how good her serve has been. She also is a slightly better grass player in my opinion. Confidence:3

105 Baltimore Orioles- Think they are too good of a team to lose back to back games. Tillman has been better than Pettitte this year. But Pettitte is known for historically doing well in day games. Confidence:2

200 Spain- They are just so much better. They are huge favorites in this game. Confidence:3

210 Kansas City Royals- Royals have been cold of late but I think they bounce back at home. Santana is an ace and usually pitches well just struggles to get run support. I think he will tomorrow because of how inconsistent Parker is. Confidence:3

405 Chicago Cubs- I don't like either starting pitcher. So I would just pick the better team. Jackson has done well against Pirates this year. Confidence:1

715 Milwaukee Brewers- I cant pick against the Brewers here at home. They have been cold recently but I think they win this game. Macrum has been better of late but I think he will struggle with the Brewers lineup. Gallardo is an ace even though at times he hasn't pitched like one. Historically Gallardo at Milwaukee is always a solid pick. Confidence:4

715 Philadelphia Phillies- I didn't realize yesterday that Hudson start got pushed back. But once against I think Philly has a good team now that they are getting healthy. Atlanta not a great road team. Hudson is not a good road pitcher. He is 1-7 with a 5.71 ERA in 9 road games this year. Need I say more? Confidence:4
