SFTC Picks for Wednesday 5/8

915 5 games or fewer- I don't see Paire winning more than 6 if this goes over. Confidence:2

1200 Any other Result- Confidence:1

220 St. Louis Cardinals- Confidence:3

245 Chelsea - They have been on fire lately. Confidence:2

340 San Diego Padres- They have been playing really well recently but Nolasco is tough. Confidence:3

345 San Francisco Giants- Confidence:3

700 Boston Bruins- The Bruins are the better team but the Maple Leafs need this game. Confidence:2

705 Boston Red Sox-Confidence:2

710 Heat by DD- It is remarkable what the Bulls have been able to do these late couple of days but there is no way they keep it up. I don't think the Heat played bad in game 1 it was more so they didn't knock down shots. I also think Lebron didn't come out with his usually intensity. That could of been due to a number of reason and my guess is the rust of not playing a game in almost a week. I think the Heat come out tonight and make a statement. Confidence:3

711 Lebron James or Dwyane Wade- I don't think I have to go into detail about this pick. One of these 2 should be the highest score at the first half.  Confidence:4

730 Washington Capitals- I think the Capitals bounce back after a tough loss. Confidence:3

810 Texas Rangers- Think they bounce back with Holland on the mound. Confidence:2

830 26 or more- Confidence:3


900 Los Angeles Kings- I think they are the better team and have momentum. Confidence:3

940 Spurs winning margin- Its hard to pick against them with how well they played in Game 1. They shoot a ton of 3s led by probably the best shooter in the league right now in Curry. But I think that game depleted the young Warriors team. I think the Spurs didn't play well and should bounce back with a solid outing at home. Confidence:2

940 3 or more- I don't think Curry has a great game tomorrow so I would be a little hesitant on this pick. But he should make 3 in the first half tomorrow. Confidence:3

1000 Anaheim Ducks- They have lost some heartbreakers in this series. Confidence:4

SFTC Picks for Tuesday 5/7

915 18 or fewer- I think this pick just makes more sense. I would be surprised if this went over but its hard to say how hard Federer will play since its the 2nd round. Confidence:2

115 Russia wins by 2- Confidence:1

245 Wigan Athletic- Confidence:2

245 Manchester City by 2- Confidence:2

245 28 minute or later- Odds favor this pick. Confidence:1

347 Manchester City- Depends on the score at the half. But I don't expect West Bromich to score this match and if they do it will only be once. Confidence:2

705 Ottawa Senators- I think they made a statement in the last game. The Canadiens looked awful and really look they gave up on this series. The Senators really seem to have Price's number. Confidence:3

705 Pittsburgh Penguins- The Islanders played really well against them last game. The Islanders speed matches up well against the Penguins defense. The home crowd should give them advantage but I cant pick against the Penguins. Confidence:4

705 Oakland Athletics- Confidence:2

710 Toronto Blue Jays- Happ struggles on the road sometimes. But Hernandez has been shaky. I wonder if the Blue Jays bats have finally come alive. Confidence:3

710 Cincinnati Reds- Homer Bailey pitches well at home and the Reds usually play well at home. Medlen has struggled on the road. I think the Reds bounce back with a win tonight.  Confidence:5

711 Knicks winning margin- The pacers really aren't a great shooting team. I think the Knicks know how badly they need this game. Melo and Smith should play a lot better. Confidence:3

711  Points Scored- Think more times then not this will win on this prop. Confidence:3

805 St. Louis Cardinals- Confidence:2

810 Texas Rangers- Confidence:3

830 49 or more- Confidence:2

840 Colorado Rockies- Confidence:2

935 Yes- Odds favor no happening but I think the Blackhawks need to win tonight. The Sharks have played really well at home and against the Canucks. Canucks didn't impress me with the way they played in Game 3. Confidence:3

940 Memphis Grizzlies- Think the Griz bounce back. Confidence:2

1010 Los Angeles Dodgers- Confidence:3

1015 San Francisco Giants- Confidence:2

SFTC Picks for Monday 5/6

1000 Drogheda United- Confidence:1

210 Kansas City Royals- This should be a good game because it was hard for me to think of who to pick. I could easily see either one of these teams winning this game. These teams played against each other on opening day with the same starting pitchers and Chicago won 1-0. Kansas City has won the first 2 games of this series and I usually don't like to pick teams to sweep a team but I will. Shields has been solid and been 1 of the more consistent pitchers in the past couple of years. The White Sox offense has really struggled of late. I could see Alex Rios having a nice game but I cant pick a team just because of 1 player. I think the Royals are just a better team at the moment. Confidence:3

300 Sunderland- Think they need this game and play better at home. Confidence:2

705 Oakland Athletics- Confidence:3

705 Boston Bruins-Home ice has been really important so far in this playoffs. I was really impressed with the Maple Leafs in their last game. Confidence:2

707 Atlanta Braves- I am really eyeing this pick as one of the better picks of the day. Maholms number are a little skewed because of 1 bad start against Detroit. Other than that start he has pitched really well. He used to pitch against the Reds a lot since he was a pitcher for the Pirates. I will like this pick a lot if Brandon Phillips isn't playing. Confidence:4

710 Tampa Bay Rays - Confidence:4

710 Heat by DD- I think this is just a better pick given the injuries to the Bulls. Heat might come out rusty since they haven't played in almost over a week. I think they are so much more talented than a depleted Bulls team. Confidence:3

711 Lebron James  points- Now I am done really well with these props submitted by the fans. I kind of like this pick but it could come down to whether or not Deng plays. Confidence:2

735 New York Rangers- Confidence:3

805 Anaheim Ducks- Confidence:2

805 Texas Rangers- Confidence:4

945 Spurs by DD - Think the Spurs are just a much better team and have the bodies to slow down Curry. Confidence:3

1005 Los Angeles Kings- Confidence:3

1015 Philadelphia Phillies- Confidence:3

SFTC Picks for Sunday 5/5

Some of my baseball picks might change if there are some big changes to some lineups.




830 Liverpool- I think they need this game more and play better at home. Confidence:2

1100 Chelsea win or draw- Manchester United is solid at home but I question how much they want this game since they already clinched. Think a draw is a pretty solid play. Confidence:2

1205 Pittsburgh Penguins- Now this pick is biased but as much as I think  the Islanders are underrated I dont think they win this game. The Penguins played so bad in those final 2 periods on Friday. This team has too much talent and leadership to lose this game. Confidence:5

105 Oklahoma City Thunder-I am really impressed with the Grizzlies. But I think the Thunder are still a better team and win this game at home. Confidence:3

105 New York Yankees- Confidence:2

105 Cleveland Indians- Indians are red hot right now. Confidence:2

107 Toronto Blue Jays- Confidence:3

110 Any other Manufacturer- Confidence:1

135 Washington Nationals- I think the Nats are a better team even though the Pirates have been playing well. Almost same analysis as yesterday. Gio is a stud and I am not a big fan of Rodriquez. This will be only his 2nd start this year. Confidence:4

210 St. Louis Cardinals- I think they're offense is really starting to come on which is scary for the NL. I like Garcia a lot more than Estrada. Confidence:4

210 Kansas City Royals- Confidence:3

220 Cincinnati Reds- Latos has pitched extremely well this year but has struggled on the road. That is my only concern. Reds offense has picked up and I dont see the Cubs winning this game. Confidence:4

305 Boston Red Sox- Confidence:3

305 Chicago Blackhawks- Confidence:3

335 Baltimore Orioles- Confidence:3

340 New York Knicks- I just am not a big fan of the way the Knicks have played the past couple of games.  I also see a lot of similarities with the Celtics and Pacers. So I think the Pacers will look at some of the footage at what worked against the Knicks and use it. I also say Carmelo in a lot of pain with his shoulder and view it as a concern going forward. Confidence:2

410 Arizona Diamondbacks- Confidence:2

410 Colorado Rockies- Confidence:3

500 Chivas USA- Confidence:2

705 Montreal Canadiens- This game could go either way since I think both are really evenly matched. But I think the Canadeins are just better and really need to play better if they want to win this series. Confidence:3

805 San Francisco Giants- I  have really been impressed with Ryu so far this year but I might change this pick based on the Dodgers lineup. They haven't been hitting well and I have to think Cain gets back on track sooner or later. Confidence:2

806 Dodgers hits- I think this is a better pick even without a tie. But as I said above it depends on the Dodgers lineup. Cain strikeout number has been a little down this year. Confidence:2

915 3 hits or fewer- Confidence:2

1005 Vancouver Canucks- Simply put if they don't win this game then this series is over. Confidence:4

1020 16 pitches or more- Confidence:3

SFTC Picks for Saturday 5/4

1000 Southhampton- I think they keep this game close. Confidence:2

1230 Arsenal- I think just a better team. Confidence:1

1235 Washington Capitals- I haven't bought into the Rangers being that good especially after trading away Gaborik. It wouldn't totally shock me if the Rangers won this game because they need it. But I'm sticking with the better team at home. Confidence:3

1235 Game Tied- I think this can obviously go either way. But my prediction would be 1-1 after the first. Confidence:2

105 New York Yankees- Confidence:2

105 Cincinnati Reds- I am a big fan of both of these pitchers today. Samardzija I think is highly underrated and wish he was on a better team. I think the Reds offense should be able to score enough runs to win this game. The only thing that scares me is the Reds bullpen. Confidence:3

105 Cleveland Indians- Confidence:2

107 Toronto Blue Jays- I keep picking them and they keep losing so we know the day I don't pick them then to win they will. I am sticking with it and hoping Dickey can pitch well. Confidence:3

140 70 or more- I feel like I'm sounding like a broken record but these are some tough props. Phil has shot a 68 and 67 in the first 2 rounds. I'm thinking its safer to see him shoot a 70. The only thing that scares me is he has birdied some of the same holes the past couple rounds. Confidence:3

405 Washington Nationals- I am not a fan of picking road baseball teams and I feel even more hesitant when the percentages are so high. But here is what I have to say about this game even as a Pirate fan. I personally do not think Locke is very good and don't think he continues to pitch as well as he has up to this point. The only problem I have with this game is both of these teams struggle to hit the ball. But I'm thinking the Nats will hit the ball tomorrow against Locke. Unless I see some unexpected  change to the lineups tomorrow then this will probably be my most confident pick. Confidence:5

405 Los Angeles Angels- Confidence:2

405 St. Louis Cardinals- Wainwright is pitching too well right now for me to pick against the Cardinals. Their lineup seems to be heating up. Gallardo is tough at home but I think the Cardinals are better at the moment. Confidence:3

415 New York Red Bulls- Confidence:1

449 Any Other Horse- Confidence:3

624 Any Other Horse-I heard the odds are going away from the 2 main favorites.  Confidence:2

705 Maple Leafs- I think the Bruins win this game but I think in most cases this game will be close. Maple Leafs need this game to stay in the series. Confidence:3

735 Anaheim Ducks- I usually like a team that is hot and playing with moment going into the playoffs. But I don't like Detroit and don't have faith in Howard. They have a lot of playoff experience but I think Anaheim will win tonight. Confidence:2

805 Texas Rangers- Here is what I have to about this game. John Lackey is pitching for the Red Sox. Confidence:4

810 Tampa Bay Rays- Confidence:2

810 Brooklyn Nets- The Bulls just have too many injuries and guys that are not at 100%. They are a gritty team but I just don't see them winning tonights game. If Deng and Hinrich were playing I feel like my pick would be different. Confidence:4

811 14 or fewer- Both of these are solid defensive teams but I think both these teams want to spread the ball around to start the game. I think the odds have to favor this pick. Confidence:4

930 92 or fewer- Depends on first half but I think should this go under- Confidence:4

740 Rickie Fowler or tie- I think the Fowler with the tie is safer. Confidence:2

1255 Rory McIlroy- Confidence:1

220 Chicago Cubs- I like travis wood. Confidence:3

305 Benfica - Confidence:1

305 FC Basel- They are down 2-1 in the aggregate and need this game. Confidence:2

305 NO Chelsea leads atleast once- Confidence:1

406 NO goal in 2nd half for Basel- I'm thinking this game will be low scoring. But I think Basel gets atleast one goal but it wouldn't surprise me if they get shut out. Depends on the score at half time. If they are losing at the half I'll feel better about this pick. Confidence:2

432 Syracuse by 2- I don't follow lacrosse that much but I know Syracuse is good. I never really heard Notre Dame being good. Confidence:2

700 Montreal Canadeins - As we have saw on Wednesday of how important home ice is. That is basically the only reason I would take them. I would pick this with caution though. Ottawa has played them tough all year and I think Ottawa is a little underrated. Confidence:3

707 Toronto Blue Jays- Confidence:2

710 Atlanta Braves- They have so key players hurt but I think they are still a very good team. Not a big fan of Haren this year even though he pitched well against Cincinnati. Confidence:3

730 Washington Capitals- I really could see this game going either way. I think Washington has just played well down the stretch and think it will be interesting to see how Ovechkin plays when he isn't the favorite. Confidence:3

805 Texas Rangers- Confidence:2

810 St. Louis Cardinals- I think they are just a better team. I think it is only a matter of time before this lineup gets going. I think the over in this game is a solid play. I would be more confident in this game but I could see a bit of  let down game after some big wins against the Reds. Confidence:2

810 Brooklyn Nets- Confidence:2

810 Boozer and Noah- I like this pick for acouple of different reasons. They have a number of different ways to score. They are playing at home and it all it takes is the Nets to have one bad quarter. It does kind of scare me that they could get into foul trouble or Noah is battling through an injury. But I still like this pick. Confidence:3

930 St. Louis Blues- Confidence:2

935 2 or fewer- I might change this pick depending on how the first half plays. Neither of these teams have great shooters. I think this will land on 2 or 3. I'm wondering if Kirk Hinrich really helps this pick because it will allow Nate Robinson to shoot more. Confidence:2

1000 Anaheim Ducks- I think they are just a better team. I think Detroit looked warren out in Game 1. Confidence:3

1005 Baltimore Orioles- Thinking the over looks good here. Confidence:2

1045 Golden State Warriors- I think they end this series at home. I think the Nuggets have struggled guarding Golden States smaller lineup since Lee went out. Confidence:4
