SFTC Picks for Wednesday 2/27

I’m onto day 2 of write-ups. I have to say its bittersweet feeling. On one side I’m happy with myself for going 12-5 and having a solid day. On the other hand I’m pissed that I was so confident in Barcelona. To the people that actually read this and I hope that people will actually follow my picks. SOCCER IS NOT MY SPORT. I guess I should convince people to follow my basketball picks considering I was 9-2 on those. 

As far as my picks go for today. There are no picks that would be worthy of a long streak but we are at the end of the month. The picks that I am most confident about are the Raptors, Colorado and 19 or more. Toronto Raptors is the lock of the day unless Kyrie Irving gets ruled out then I will probably switch to the Raptors. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. 10:15 7 games or more- I think Roger will want to come out and bounce back. But its hard for me to not take the over. I think Marcel will give Roger a hard time and could even win a set. Prediction 6-4, 6-3. Confidence:3

2:30 Bayern Munich- They look like a solid pick today at home. There in good form and see no reason why not to pick them. Prediction 2-1. Confidence:4

2:45Middlebrough win draw or lose by 1- I think this is just a safer pick. Chelsea is more than capable of winning by 2 goals but I think the likelihood is they wont. Middlesbrough is at home and will play tough. Prediction Chelsea 3-2. Confidence:3

7:03 Georgetown- Georgetown is coming off a huge win and is arguably one of the hottest teams in the country. I think this game should be pretty close and low scoring but its hard to pick against Georgetown . Prediction Hoyas 62-58. Confidence:3

7:03 Shabazz Napier or Tie- I think since Napier is at home and should get more shots than Porter. Prediction Napier-8 Porter-7. Confidence:3

7:04 Oklahoma State wins by 15- I don’t see any way that Oklahoma St would lose this game. But I think TCU could come out and play tough but OK ST is still a much better team and should handle TCU. Prediction 75-58. Confidence:4

7:05 Toronto Raptors- My pick right now is based on the fact that Kyrie Irving might not play and the Cavs will be playing on back to back days. If Kyrie is definitely not playing then I will be a lot more confident about this pick. Prediction 95-87. Confidence:4

7:05 Orlando Magic- 2 really bad NBA teams. Don’t really know what to say about this game. Magic seem like they should win since there the home team. Prediction 90-88. Confidence:2

7:35 Montreal Canadiens- 2 teams that are having decent years. I think the Canadiens are pretty good and should bounce back after a shutout loss against the Islanders. Prediction 3-2. Confidence:3

8:10 Warriors 3 pointers or tie- Tough pick for me. I think Golden State should keep this game close. The Knicks have really been struggling lately. The Knicks are tough at home but I think that Warriors will knock down enough 3s to win. Prediction 3pts- 8 Knicks-6. Confidence:3

8:11 Melo and Stoudemire- I cant pick against Melo in this prop. Every thing that I look for in a prop like this points to the NY duo. Melo will shoot on half of NY possessions and I don’t think anyone one the Warriors can guard him. Prediction NY-26 GS-22. Confidence:5


8:11 19 or more- I dont think anyone on Golden State can cover Melo. I think he will come out firing in the first half. I feel like this is a safe pick. Prediction 20. Confidence:4

9:05 Texas Longhorns- This should be a tight game. Dont believe that Oklahoma is that good. But just a total gut call. Prediction 68-66. Confidence:2

9:06 Any Other Result- I think Depaul will play tough against Louisville. I think Louisville could have a bit of a let down game here. I just think its hard to win by blow teams out on the road in the Big East even if it is Depaul. Prediction Louisville wins by 12-13. Confidence:3

9:30 No- I think the only player who would score the 9 would be Carmelo. As much as I like Carmelo to have a good game its just hard for me to say he'll score  9 points in a quarter.  Maybe I would change this is Melo or NY has a bad first half. Confidence:3

10:05 Anaheim Ducks- This is a lot tougher matchup based on the pick percentages. The Ducks have beaten the Preds twice this year both in a shootout. As much as I think its hard to beat a team 3 times I cant pick against the Ducks. Prediction 4-2. Confidence:2

10:40 Denver Nuggets- I think Denver is a much better team even though they struggle on the road. I dont think Portland is very good. The fact that Gallinari might not play kind of scares me but i think they should still win. If Gallinari is playing then I would make this a 4.   Prediction 98-94. Confidence:3

11:05 Colorado Buffaloes- I dont have a whole of analysis to say about this game. I think Colorado is one of the top teams in the conference and I dont think Stanforad is that good. I cant find out why I would pick Stanford. Prediction  71-66. Confidence:4

11:06 Pepperdine Free Throws Made or Tie- I dont think St. Mary's blows them out completely. I think Pepperdine should keep this some what close and make enough free throws. Prediction FTs-12 St. Marys-10. Confidence:3
