1000 Manchester United- Think they are a pretty good pick here at least to start the month. Will be interesting to see if RVP or Rooney play. They are expected but I still think ManU is the pick here even if neither of them play. Confidence:3

1200 Wisconsin- Wisc is getting 5 points here which being at home would usually make this a pretty good pick. Hard to trust either team considering the way they both have been playing. I think OSU has what it takes to go to Wisc and win. But I cant trust them here. Confidence:1

705 Cleveland Cavaliers- I hate picking the NBA or telling people to pick it up but 3 reasons for why I like this pick. Home team has won all 3 games in this series this year. I think Deng goes off against his former team and I think the Bulls have been playing a weak schedule which is why they are 8-2 in their last 10. Confidence:3

704 LSU- I really like this LSU team. They have a lot of guys who are really athletic but the last time I watched them was against Tennessee where they looked awful. But looking back on that game its almost and outlier to the rest of the season. Tennessee got hot from 3 early on and LSU just couldn't get going offensively.  It was the only other game all year that they didn't score at least 69 points. LSU has almost every statistical edge. But the one stat that bugs me is LSU is not a good FT shooting team which could really hurt them in a close game. Missouri on the other hand
played really well against Bama because they were able to get 34 free throw attempts. I just think given how Missouri has played in the SEC this year and not playing well on the road is why LSU should win this one. Confidence:4

702 Virginia winning margin- For those that probably look at this and think UNC easily not so fast. UNC is not a good shooting team. They really only have 2 players who can make a 3 in McDonald and Paige. On top of that Virginia is one the best defensive teams in the ACC. You have 2 teams here who I think have really under performed expectations to this point. 1 in conference in UNC and 1 out of conference in Virginia. I think given the way Virginia has been playing and with the guards being so good defenensively they will really try to slow/stop Paige. I really don't think UNC makes more than 5 3s so its almost a straight up pick and I think Virginia at home gets it done. Confidence:3

703 10 points or fewer- I mean someone could get hot for either team. But outside of Paige or maybe McAdoo I don't anyone on UNC goes off. Then Virginia its only Harris or Brogdon. Given I think theres only a handle full of players that have a chance to do it I think 10 or fewer is a decent play. Confidence:3

Virginia has a couple different guys who made 3s this year but the main guy is Harris. But given that only 1 player in Harris is average a little over 1 3 a game I have to think the odds at least in my mind make this a pretty good play. Confidence:4

810 Houston Rockets- Hard to trust a team that only scores 19 points in a second half. I think they are the pick here at home. Portland took advantage of a pretty easy schedule this year but are a still very good team. Confidence:2

I am in a bit of a tough spot here because my preseason pick for the Super Bowl was the 49ers to beat the Broncos. So its tough to for me to even go against it. But I would rather be right for these games than my preseason pick.


1100 Chelsea- I've been talked into liking this pick a lot more. A lot of soccer experts think Chelsea rolls here even though its a pretty big game for both teams. I just have no confidence in taking Man U hoping for a draw especially with no RVP or Rooney. Confidence:3

300 Army- I really don't have a whole lot of insights to this game. Both teams come off of tough losses. But I think Army is a little better and playing at home. Confidence:3

300 Denver Broncos- The first part of this writeup will be more of how excited I am for both of these games on Sunday. The rivalry between 2 of arguable the greatest 2 to ever play the QB position. The first thing that sticks out to me is how well Belichick has done with the team this year giving how many injuries they have had. To think of all the off season distractions and the ability to overcome that is why I always fear picking against the Pats especially in the underdog roll. If the Patriots win this game it will be because they were able to get pressure on Manning. I struggle to think the Patriots will be able to do so with how many backups they have playing. The difference for this game in my opinion is the Broncos leadership/mentality/motivation going into this game. To be a great player on a great team and to lose the way did last year hurts and it sits with you every day of the off season and in the season. I think the difference between the first game this year and this will be Gronk not playing. It puts a lot more pressure on the Patriots to have run the ball effectively which I think Broncos will be geared up to stop. Simply I just cant pick against Manning here. Confidence:4

301 Peyton Manning- I think some people don't understand how well the Broncos ran the ball this year when they played. I could really see them doing that here. But based on the last couple weeks the Patriots have been running the ball a lot. Manning has the  better weapons so I think more times than not he would out pass Brady in a half. Confidence:3

445 3 TDs or fewer- Now I might change this pick only if the first half is pretty much dominated by 1 team. But given how both teams like to run the ball in the red zone I have to like the under on the passing TDs. Confidence:3

602 Virginia Tech- I honestly have no idea simply because I don't know what Notre Dame team is going to show up. Confidence:1

630 San Francisco 49ers- Like I said above I would rather this pick be right than my preseason prediction. But I feel like a broken record for those that have followed me over the last couple of weekends. I just think the 49ers are playing better football out of the 2 teams. For me the difference for the 49ers the last couple of weeks has been Crabtree. Sure he doesn't make a lot of plays week in and week out but he forces defenses to have to pick who they want to beat them. It frees up Boldin and Davis which gives this 49ers multiple weapons on offense. I really feel that the loss of Harvin will be a big deal. I felt like the Saints did a really good job at control this Seattle offense. The key for me in this game is the team that can get win the battle of the line of scrimmage. I think SF has a little bit better of an OL and I think they have a better front 7 than Seattle does. But I really am not confident in because playing in Seattle with the noise is no joke. 800 Oregon- For me in this game is Oregon St at times relies too much on Nelson for offense. I think Oregon has a couple different guys that guard him and really slow him down. For me Oregon is one of the best in Pac 12 because they share the ball and get to the rim when they want. This being a rivalry games makes things tougher especially when both teams have had a week to plan for this game. But give me the Ducks winning this game more times than not even on the road. 810 No- weather could play a factor into this pick. Both of these defenses are good at creating turnovers and I could see either QB throwing a INT. But given that there is no rain expected I think that both QBs will have a good handle of the ball and wont try to force anything in the 3rd. Confidence:2

810 20 or fewer- O/U in this game is around 40. both teams have great defenses I think there is a chance that there could be under 30 points in the entire game so I really like the under here. I might put it up to a 4 depending on the first half. Confidence:2

1000 Arsenal by 2- Confidence:2

1100 Toledo - is a pretty underrated team right now. There the favorite to win the MAC right now. I'm not sure what to think about Akron. I think Toledos ability to spread the ball and score gives them an edge here. Confidence:3

1200 SMU- Confidence:2

1200 Boston College free throws- This pick has the potential to be a really good pick. Boston College on the year is averaging over 20 made free throws a game. But that number is pretty high since some games they made 30 whether others they have only made around 10. The spread for this game is around 12 for more times than not they should be able to make that many free throws. As someone who has been a big UNC fan the way the team has played to this point has been disappointing. Sure they have beaten good teams but not showing up for Miami or Wake is absolutely unacceptable considering how they played in those games. This team has so much talent its not even funny but to see D1 athletes who have been giving everything play with no passion or heart. It really makes it tough to watch at times. UNC had the entire week off to get ready for this game. One thing I have remembered over the years is Roy will make sure these kids will show up on Saturday. As a former player I don't think there is anything worse than losing to teams you should beat. UNC really has the potential to run BC out of the Dean Dome. 900 Atalanta - Tough pick for me here but I think this is the better pick. Milan is the better team but is not in good form and have only won 3 of their last 10 matches and all of which were by 2 or more. Atalanta is an awful road team though which they are 1-1-7 in league play and have only 7 goals while giving up 15. More times than not I think they cover. Confidence:1

1230 Inter Milan- Lazio has had pretty good success against Inter in the past. Inter is the better team but from everything I read they are missing a lot of key players because of injuries. I think the most likely result is a draw here because Lazios form is not very good with only 3 wins in their last 10. Confidence:3

100 Real Madrid by 3- Celta Vigo is not a very good team so its hard for me to trust them here. Madrid could win by as much as they want to in this game. I say they get 3 here but not a fan of these picks. Confidence:1

400 Rayo Vallecano-  I think they are the pick because I wouldn't be shocked if they even won this game. Villarreal has been in a really bad slump recently. I think Rayo at least draws here. Confidence:3

702 Maryland any other- This is the better pick in my mind. Maryland has some really talented players on their team. They have played some tough teams already this year but played really bad in 1 of their road games this year. That game was @OSU so its understandable. I am sort of on the middle between what most people think about Pitt. I think they are good and an underrated team that will be around come March. But I don't buy into the fact that they should be ranked yet. They really just haven't been tested enough to deserve it in my opinion. Pitt has 1 of the toughest home courts in the nation so I could see Pitt pulling away late here but I have to think Maryland is the pick here. Confidence:2

703 Pitt 1st half lead- Maryland only has about 5-7 scorers generally. Most of the time from what I have seen is they really rely on Wells and Layman to do most of it. I think Pitt playing at home gives them an edge and certainly nice to have the tie here. Confidence:1

830 - Now I am some just general thoughts about the game. This might not flow because I feel most people will just look at the odds and say -10 in a straight up game is almost always money. But I feel like in  a big game like this you can just throw out the odds. The thing for me is I hate the SEC but I love it at the same time. I hate that it dominates year after year but at the same time no other conference can match up with it. I know people probably think I am crazy but since I still have a shot to win my Bowl Mania poll I am researching every possible stat for this game I can find. SEC all time against the ACC is 285-138, in bowl games SEC 34-18, games since 2010 27-11, this year 5-3(2 losses by Florida). The No. 2 team in the BCS Standings has won 8 of the past 11 National Championships. Honestly the more I dig and the more trends I find point to Auburn. Florida St played 6 teams this year that made it to a bowl game and those teams went 3-3. The one thing when looking at Florida St is how they killed Clemson since I consider them the best team they faced. That to me is why I still think they win this game. But I really cant get over how much this spread as gone up. This game opened to 7 but a ton of money is being put on Florida ST and now is up to 10 and frankly I just don't  see a big reason as to why. The concern I have what happens mentally if Florida St goes down early or how to the handle pressure in the 4th quarter of a tight game. A team that hasn't been in pressure outside of the first half in almost any game this year. Whether as if Auburn goes down early we know they have come back.

 The key in this game is I think who ever wins the turnover margin will win this game. For me Jameis's number are not that good. For him to throw 10 interceptions considering who he has played tells me he forces a lot of passes. I think one of the weak points for the ACC football teams this year is their offensive/ defensive lines aren't as physical as other conferences. I run numbers back time and time again and I still cant come to a consensus. I hate picking a one dimensional offense in a bowl game. But I think the numbers and trends show how and why the SEC dominates. I think Florida St has all the pressure on them and could struggle with that. My official prediction is FSU comes out hot but then Auburn finds a way to battle back. Auburn 34-30.
