SFTC Picks for Saturday 6/1

A new month is finally here so best of luck to everyone today. My NHL series predictions are under my NHL playoff picks.




845 Rafael Nadal- Now I am in no way a tennis expert. But I have followed major tournaments over the past couple of years because I played SFTC. Nadal is clearly one of the best players in the world. Nadal is known for being one of the best on clay which this match is. I don't like to look at odds but Nadal to win 3-0 is -500 which is still really high odds for a pick on SFTC. I really wonder if StreakMaster knows something. But my gut is this should be one of the easiest greens of 2013. Confidence:6

945 Samantha Stosur- As much as I think majority of the people will just follow the rankings and pick Stosur. I think Stosur will win just because she is better in my opinion. This pick is just a toss up. I don't see any numbers in my research that should really favor either side. Confidence:2


200 Bayern Munich- I know they are one of the best teams in the world. Odds are really high for them to win. Confidence:4

400 Peru- Confidence:1

405 Detroit Tigers- Hammel has been pitched very well recently. Verlander on the other hand has kind of struggled. I think Detroit will really look for a big game from Verlander today. I think he really wants to come out and pitch well because of how poorly he pitched. Any time Verlander is on the mound he gives his team a solid chance to win. You include with that Cabrera the best hitter in baseball. They should win here after giving off a walk off yesterday. Confidence:4

405 Chicago White Sox- Battle of 2 1 year pitchers who have never pitched against either team. Oakland is one the hottest teams in baseball. I just don't have a lot of faith in Straily even though he pitched well recently. Think the White Sox finally get a win despite losing 4 in a row. Confidence:3

405 Philadelphia Phillies- Not a big fan of either pitcher. Think Philadelphia is a better team. Confidence:2

410 Colorado Rockies- Greinke just has not looked that good to me since he came back. Think he could struggle with the Rockies who I think have one the better lineups in the NL. Chacin is not that good but I think Rockies should outscore the Dodgers today. Confidence:3

410 Miami Marlins- I don't feel good about either team winning this game and not sure how anyone could be. I just have a lot more faith in Hernandez on the mound than McHugh. Confidence:2

500 Chicago Blackhawks- Now I know I have the Kings winning this series, but I just like the momentum the Blackhawks have right now. Think they will thrive off of the crowd and play well tonight at home. Confidence:3

705 Florida Gators- From what I have seen they look like a pretty solid team. Confidence:3

715 Boston Red Sox- I think Boston is a better team than New York because of all the injuries. I know NY got some of their key players back. But Dubront has pitched very well against the Yankees. Some of the key hitters for Boston hit Hughes pretty well. I think Boston bounces back. Its a shame this game will probably take 4 hours or if I had a W3 or W4 tomorrow I would pick this. Confidence:4

715 Atlanta Braves- I could understand why people would be the Nats but the Braves are the better pick here. Hudson pitches well at home and he is 16-5 with 2.55 ERA against the Nationals. Think the Braves bounce back if they get some run support. Confidence:3

800 Pittsburgh Penguins- For those of you that follow my picks I am a huge Penguins fan. I really think they will win this series and that its just a matter of how many games it will take. I think the first game of the series is tough to predict especially when both teams will becoming off about a week off from actually playing. Now I am not super confident in this pick because I could see the Penguins losing this game. But I think its really hard to pick against a team with as many weapons as the Penguins have especially at home. I think this is a pretty decent pick considering its only the first day of the month. I got the Pens winning 4-2. Confidence:4

830 Miami Heat- I think they are a better pick here even though the Pacers play really well at home. I think Indiana played pretty poorly in game 5 and  I would look for them to respond. But Lebron James is the best player in the game right now  and I think he proved that in this series. Now it wouldn't totally shock me if the Heat lost and wanted to win this series at home. But I think the Heat are smart and want to end this series in Indiana.  Heat by 5. Confidence:3

831 Any other player- I don't see George Hill scoring first even though he needs to play better. I think the 2 most likely things to happen are West/Hibbert to score in post or George hitting a jumper. Confidence:2


900 23 or fewer- Depends on first quarter but I am expecting a low scoring game. Think this will be close but Miami's bench has not been playing that well. Confidence:3

905 Colorado Rapids- Confidence:1

940 Arizona State- Truthfully haven't seen either of these 2 teams play. I would pick Arizona St based off the way they played in the regular season. They just have better numbers in my opinion. Confidence:1

1000 2 or fewer- I think this is just a safer play. Lebron is the obvious 1 but I do think 2 of the Pacers could score 8 in the 3rd. I don't think it will happen but it wouldn't totally surprise me. Confidence:3

1005 Los Angeles Angels- Williams has pitched well this year and Norris has pitched better of late. I thought this would be my trap pick of the day but Altuve will most likely not be in the lineup. Angels have too much fire power in their lineup to not like them here. Confidence:4
