Trap Picks (4-6)


655 Mark Cavendish- This race will be huge for the sprinters. For me this race will basically come down to 2 guys. Those are Cavendish and Greipel. The day off yesterday really benefits the sprinters. But because of what happened in the earlier stages I think Cavendish's team will really want him to win this stage. Confidence:4

1200 St. Etienne- This is just a friendly so its hard to predict. I think the draw is the most likely option here. Confidence:1

245 Limerick- They are pretty big favorites here at home. They are ahead of Bray in the standings. But they have only scored 4 goals in their last 5 games. Confidence:1

700 New York Liberty- They beat Seattle earlier this year in Seattle. They have lost 3 in a row but are tough at home. Vegas has this around -5 and I agree they should win. Confidence:3

705 New York Yankees- Both of these pitchers are studs. CC has had his same stuff this year but he still 1 of the best in the game. A lot of key players for the Yankees got the day off yesterday so I think the rest will help and they bounce back with a win here. Confidence:2

705 Baltimore Orioles- Not a huge fan of each pitcher. They are both young pitchers who never really has seen either team. Britton pitched well against Texas in his only start. Perez has a 5.31 in 4 career road starts. Confidence:2

705 Pittsburgh Pirates-Now my pick may be slightly biased but I don't think it is. Pirates have not been playing that great. It should be said that around this time in last season they began to collapse. So it could be happening again. Straily is not a great road starter which his ERA in 7 road starts is 5.31. Cole on the other hand has been really good this year. But it will be fun to see how he reacts to an AL lineup. The Athletics are tough but the Pirates need to bounce back with a win here. 710 Tampa Bay Rays- Its really hard to not pick the Rays in this game. Archer has been amazing in his starts this year and only gave up 6 runs in  3 home starts when you pitch against Detroit, Boston and Baltimore. For me that says this guy is going to be good. Gibson on the other hand is a rookie making his  3rd start. I really cant trust a rookie with the way the Rays are playing. The only reason I am not going to be really confident in this pick is because this pick seems too easy. That in my opinion this is the kind of games that Twins will find a way to win this and kill the leaderboard. Confidence:3

810 Cincinnati Reds- The Reds aren't a great road team but its hard to think they could lose 2 straight to the Brewers. Ryan Braun will most likely be back in the lineup now which would be a huge benefit for the Brewers. Peralta has been pitching well in his last couple of starts but I don't trust him. Cingrani is 1 of my favorite young pitchers that I think has a lot of talent. His road numbers are slightly higher but nothing to scare me away from this game. Confidence:3

830 Cuba- Confidence:1

905 Minnesota Lynx- Think they should win this game considering how well Maya Moore is playing. They are 6-0 at home. Something to watch is if Augustus plays considering she got hurt in their last game. Vegas has Minnesota around at -4.5. Confidence:3

906 11 or fewer- Even if Augustus plays I would expect Maya Moore or someone else  to score 12 in the first half.  Both of these teams average around 80 point a game. Confidence:1

940 Los Angeles Dodgers- Arizona has lost both games Kennedy started against LA this year. The dodgers bats are red hot right now and its hard to imagine them losing. Nolasco is a solid pitcher so it will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the new team. Kennedy on the other has a lot to prove after hitting Puig and Grienke with a pitch. Confidence:3

1010 San Diego Padres- SD should bounce back with a win at home. Confidence:2

1010 Boston Red Sox- Really could see this game going either way. Iwakuma has been good all year but I think could struggle against Boston. Might change my pick if Ellsbury is not in the lineup. Confidence:1

1015 San Francisco Giants- Hard to not like Zito pitching in SF. Not just this year he has been good there but throughout his career. Gee has been better of late but gave up 7 runs last year in his only career start against the Giants. There game last night went 16 innings so I give an edge to the team with the better bullpen. That is SF. Confidence:2
