A shame the stash was won in November but all I can do is tip my hat to the people who had some of the most amazing runs in SFTC history. It seemed like it was the first month in a while that all the big favorites kept winning. I hope everyone is as happy as I am to have a clean slate and begin a new month.

I love watching the NFL but hate picking it because truthfully I haven't had a whole lot of success this year. It seems I either pick 80% right or 20% right each week. Here goes nothing.


700 Tottenham - I think more times than not this pick will hit. It Is definitely the safer pick in my opinion. It really could depend who ends up playing for United. RVP is expected to miss another game from everything I have seen. It does scare me that United is coming off of a 5-0 victory the other day and Tottenham has lost 2 of their last 3 matches at home. But Tottenham should at least draw here in my opinion. A decent pick for every one to start the month. Confidence:3

100 Vancouver Canucks- Confidence:2

100 Jacksonville single digits- I have been a backer of Jacksonville for most of this year and at times it has paid off. They have been playing better recently but still are not a great team. The main reason for this pick is I really don't like Brandon Weeden. It really is nothing against him but it just seems every game he plays in he struggles. Confidence:3

100 Chicago Bears- Slight lean on the better here. Minnesota has had success at home in the past. But as bad as the Bears defense has been I still have to give them an edge here. Confidence:2

100 Buccaneers- This is a pick that I absolutely love. Glennon looks like he has control of this offense and Revis has started to play like his old self recently. I think the Buccaneers last couple of weeks is not a fluke and that they will really compete in this game. Even though the Panthers are one of the hottest teams in the NFL I got the Buccaneers not losing by more than 1 possession.  Confidence:5

100 Patriots- I really think the Texans have given up this year and for someone that picked them to be great this year because of how much talent they have it is disappointing. One of the things Texans have struggled this year and in the past was teams with dangerous passing attacks. Even though I would generally like to take a team like the Pats to not do well in this game. I think this is the smarter pick given Brady and the Patriots offense. Confidence:2

100 Philadelphia Eagles- don't really have a whole lot to say here I just like the Eagles at home with how Foles has played. Confidence:2

100 New York Jets- Honestly have no idea. Confidence:1

100 Indianapolis Colts- This is the smarter pick even though I think the Titans have a really good chance here. Titans are one the must underrated teams in the NFL in my opinion. People will have to remember a couple of weeks ago when the Colts had to come back and win that game. Luck is so good but the offense has struggled so much without Wayne you have to wonder if it will hurt them here. Confidence:1

100 Saint Louis- Think they are a really underrated team and match up well against Wichita St. Confidence:3

230 LSU Tigers- I think they are a much more athletic team and will cause problems for Butler. Confidence:3

400 DePaul- Confidence:1

405 49ers- The Rams offense has really been playing well recently but that could change in this game as the 49ers defense has started to come back around. I really try not to pick a team to win by double digits especially in the NFL. But in this case I think its the most likely scenario. Confidence:2

405 Buffalo Bills- Toss up. Confidence:1

425 Cincinnati Bengals- I kind of like this pick despite me not liking road teams. In  my opinion the Bengals are a better team from top to bottom. I think a lot of people are starting to see that the Chargers are a legit team and have a great shot at getting the 2nd wild card. But as far as winning the battle at the line of scrimmage I give a pretty big edge to the Bengals. They are 2-4 on the road in a large part to Andy Dalton not playing well. The Bengals should be rested coming off of a BYE. I think they win this game here. Confidence:3

425 Denver Broncos- Going into this year I thought the Chiefs would have a chance to be pretty good because of their defense and Andy Reid. They have exceeded my expectations and barring a disaster will make the playoffs this year. This is really a huge game because it could ultimately determine home field in the AFC. Even though the Broncos haven't played well on the road this year I still have to pick them here. The pass defense for the Broncos scares me but I don't think Alex Smith is that good of a passing quarterback to torch them like Brady did. Broncos money line is a little higher then I have but none the less a solid pick to start December. Confidence:5

730 Oklahoma State-I think this will be a much better game then when these 2 teams met ago recently. I think Ok St was on fire in that game and Memphis played awful. I still do think the Ok St should win this game just off of having more talent. Smart is a great leader and I think they win this championship game. Confidence:5

1032 Charlotte 3 pointers- They aren't a great shooting team but they are really athletic and can score. I think they will give Kansas St all they can handle. I think as long as they hit 4/5 they should be fine. Confidence:2

1250 Georgetown by 15- They should cover this but the problem I have with Georgetown is they're half court offense didn't look that great against Oregon. So I really wonder if they can score 80 points here which is what they might have to do. Confidence:2

500 Georgia - I think Georgia could be a surprise team this year. They might not win the SEC but I think they have a shot to finish in the top 5 in the conference. As far as this game I really think their athleticism creates a ton of matchup problems for Davidson. I don't think Davidson has a guard that can stop Gainers. Confidence:3

503 Long Beach St- Michigan has a lot of questions marks with their team. Game could come down to how it is called. If there are a lot of fouls being called because of the new rules Long Beach st for sure. I still think they have a really good chance to compete tomorrow. Confidence:3

740 New York Rangers- I would be really surprised if the Rangers lose this game. The Bruins are not a good road team. Even though they are 5-3 on the road this year most of those wins have come against the bottom of the NHL. Rangers aren't a  great team but I don't like goalies playing on back to back nights even if it is someone as good as Rask. Rangers are playing really good hockey recently I think Henrik will have a big game here. Confidence:4

803 Oklahoma St winning margin- I think Memphis is a little overrated this year and Oklahoma St might be slightly underrated going into the season. Memphis last year was not a great 3 pt shooting team and I don't really think anything has changed. Granted its early in the year and hard to know what to expect given this will be a huge test for both teams. More of gut call then numbers but I think Ok St puts on a show tomorrow. Confidence:3

703 12 or fewer- I think 13 is a lot of points for Parker as good as he is. His averages indicates the under should be favored. But the thing for me is Parker has really shot the 3 ball well and I wonder if he really can continue at the same rate he is. Another thing for me is Duke has so many options offensively that even if they score 40 in the first half I have to think more times than not Parker wont get 12. Confidence:3

705 Boston Bruins- As long as Rask is in net they will win this game more times than not against an average Hurricanes team. Confidence:3

735 Portland - They are the better team at the moment but have to wonder when the Nets will start to play well. It may start here. Confidence:1

740 Pittsburgh Penguins- Penguins are just a great home team against an average road team in Anaheim. Anaheim have lost 3 straight games. Confidence:4

The lightning are 8-2 in their last 10 games and are playing some of the best hockey in the NHL. But I think the 1 thing Boston can struggle with at times is against teams that really high scoring offesnses. 310 Novak Djokovic- I am really excited for this match and still am not sure who will win. I love Nadal but Novak is the better hard court player. In all seriousness I cannot wait to get done with class on Monday and come back and watch this match. For anyone who really isn't a tennis fan this is the perfect match for you to start to watch and really fall in love with the sport. This has a 3 set thriller written all over it. Now there are reasons for both of these players to win and it was why I was so torn and really had to sit back and think and try not to pick with who I want to win then rather who should and will. Nadal in is career had struggled against the top competition on the hard court. Nadal worked really hard and finally started to win on the hard courts this year. There is a part of me that was thinking Nadal will take this match tomorrow and cap off an amazing season as the number 1 player this year. But the more I researched there are simply more reasons as to why Novak will win. 1 is Nadal has already clinched as the number 1 player. Now that doesn't mean he wont come out and play hard but I think it gives him less of a reason to. 2 is I was really concerned when Nadal rolled his ankle in the Berdych match. 3 is Novak has an 11-6 advantage on the hard courts. In their last match in Beijing it really seemed like Novak handled Nadals serve really well and might have figured it out. 4 is I think the court really favors Novak more than Nadal. The money line is really starting to rise which that sometimes puts up a red flag for me that the general public could be overreacting but Novak should win this thriller. Confidence:3

700 Atlanta Hawks- Slight lean to the Hawks here. But I don't think people who really don't watch a lot of NBA really understand that the Bobcats are a different team this year. They might not have the talent to compete with the best teams but they outwork teams. This is the kind of game I think they could win. Confidence:2

This is the kind of pick that I love because no one will actually research it at all and will just say "well Ferrer is ranked higher he has to win at least 1 set and he might win the match". Now its funny comparing these 2 players because I am really not a big fan of either. But as I have said in previous predictions including Ferrer he is not a good hard court player. Wawrinka is kind of hit or miss for me and a lot depends on how his serve is working. But because of Ferrer performance in his previous games he is ELIMINATAED and cannot advance to the next round so what does he have to play for but his pride. Wawrinka needs this game to advance so he has more to play for. Ferrer has played a ton of tournaments recently which could be a reason as to why he hasn't played well but he has looked really fatigued. This is definitely the better pick and I am just hoping it comes through. Confidence:3

910 Nadal wins 2-0 - I know tennis didn't go the way as planned on Monday but I really like both picks today. When researching the Nadal pick I was actually really surprised to see Ferrer beat Nadal a few days ago on the hard courts and Ferrer has actually had a good bit of success on the hard courts against Nadal. Spanish players are not known for playing well on the hard courts which both players are. I really don't like picking Ferrer in any prop unless hes on clay. Nadal has just been on a roll on the hard courts this year and for whatever reason he slipped up to Ferrer. I really don't think that happens again. Nadal is around -430 on most sites and I actually think it should be higher than that. I would be really surprised if Nadal loses tomorrow and pretty surprised if he drops a set. Nadal to win 2-0 is around -180 on most sites. Confidence:4

245 Real Sociedad- I think the draw is the most likely outcome here. Confidence:2

310 Yes- I think more times than not this pick will win when these 2 play. Novak sometimes starts slow and could have a bad first set. Its tough because Novak should win this match and theres a pretty good chance that he could win in straight sets. But even if he does win in straight sets Roger could get 5 games in a set. 910 Tomas Berdych- This is a pretty tough pick there are stats that point both ways. The big thing for me is Berdych is the better player and is the better hard court player. But Wawrinka has had Berdych's number on the hard court. Neither player is in great particular form but I think Berdych has an extra reason to win. The winner of this game will face Ferrer and Berdych was pretty upset he lost to Ferrer a couple of days ago. I think more times than not Berdych wins this match. Confidence:3

1230 Atromitos- Both teams are pretty good form but Panthrakikos has just been awful on the road. Confidence:4

310 Del Potro wins 2-0 - Del Potro is a pretty big favorite here as he is 1 of the top hard court players in the world. He has beaten Gasquet before on the hard court and I think that trend should continue here. Confidence:3

700 Cleveland Cavaliers- I think Cleveland will be happy to come home and play on Monday. It seems they always play well in Cleveland regardless of who they play. Timberwolves are 1 of the best teams in the NBA and I thought they had a decent chance to surprise a lot of people this year. That is in large part to Kevin Love. I think Cleveland has enough athletic big guys to contain Love. I also think Minnesota could have a hard time guarding Kyrie and Waiters. I don't like teams playing on back to back days especially when they have to travel. Cleveland wins at home. Confidence:3
